I'm new to this forum and I'm happy with this site, we need a community of brides to be for support and help with a stressful event such as a wedding.

I'm planning for a wedding (no date set yet) and trying to save money for it. My fiance and I have a goal of 40 thousand dollars, then we will start planning, set a date, and continue to save and pay as we go.

Anybody have any experience with them? Thanks!

And feel free to give me cheap venues/vendors for the wedding that are great to work with!

My sister kept her wedding under 5,000. She had her wedding in a church, and the reception at a place call Legends in Geneseo, they had a buffet style meal but it was a hot meal and very good. She had her pictures done by photography. ( They do an amazing job and have several packages to choose from and he will work with you to build your own package, He also did my sr pics, and is doing my engagement and hopefully my wedding! She did a lot of things herself, she had silk flowers and made the bouquets herself, she also made all the center pieces, favors, invitations, ect at home. Hopefully some of this was helpful, Good luck!

The size of your wedding is a big controlling factor on where you have it. I do think you can do it for under 40,000.00. I recommend a good DJ. I also recommend Jack for pictures. He charges $2600.00 for I think six hours, but all the pictures are yours and you can print them off a cd at Walgreen.

That was supposed to say she kept it under 6,500. I fixed it, big typo on the 65,000.
